On Wednesday 28 May 2025, Cigare et Compagnie officially launched its activities at a memorable evening at the L’Embucaire restaurant in Albias. Around thirty enthusiasts gathered to share a convivial moment around exceptional cigars and refined cuisine.
🌟 A warm and passionate atmosphere
From the moment they arrived, guests were immersed in a warm, festive atmosphere perfect for conversation among enthusiasts. To open the evening, an exceptional cigar was offered: The Circus Vulcano. This Nicaraguan cigar, with its distinctive pyramid shape (4″ x 60), is a bold creation from Daniel Guerrero, the brand’s founder.
Hand-made at the El Viejo Continente factory, the Vulcano stands out for its careful construction and original presentation. It is made from a blend of tobaccos from Jalapa and Esteli, offering a complex aromatic palette. On lighting, soft, sweet notes of cinnamon and dried fruit (reminiscent of caramelised almonds) come through, along with a touch of liquorice. As the tasting progresses, the cigar moves towards bolder notes of leather, cafe au lait and spice, finishing with mineral and citrus nuances reminiscent of toffee.
The even burn and dense smoke let guests fully enjoy this vitola for around 45 minutes. This tasting sparked plenty of conversation and enthusiastic comments, a testament to the quality and originality of The Circus Vulcano.
🍽️ A bistro-style feast to accompany the tasting
The team at L’Embucaire treated guests to a menu of bistro-style tapas, blending tradition and creativity. Every dish was carefully designed to pair with the cigars being tasted, offering a complete and flavourful culinary experience. 🚬 A second vitola to finish in style
To close this exceptional evening, guests had the pleasure of tasting an El Brujito Robusto F1, a Nicaraguan cigar that perfectly embodies the balance between artisan tradition and contemporary innovation.
Created by Alejandro Alfambra, an iconic figure in the world of tobacco, the El Brujito Robusto F1 is the result of expertise built up over the years. After supplying high-quality tobacco leaves to many renowned manufacturers, Alfambra decided to launch his own brand, showcasing Nicaragua’s rich heritage.
On lighting, the El Brujito Robusto F1 reveals woody notes, leather and coffee, along with a smooth sweetness reminiscent of creamy caramel. This balanced aromatic palette makes it an ideal choice for enthusiasts seeking a rich flavour experience without being too strong.
💌 Enthusiastic feedback
The many messages received the very next day are proof of how successful this inaugural evening was. Guests praised the organisation, the quality of the cigars and the warm atmosphere of the event. I would like to thank Le Lalande in Montauban and its outstanding representative Jean Marie, without whom these evenings could not exist.
