At Cigare et Compagnie, every event is an invitation to explore the fascinating world of cigars. While we regularly host cigar aperitifs, tapas & cigar evenings and other convivial tasting moments, some evenings take on a very special dimension. These are our exceptional evenings, rare moments where passion, expertise and discovery come together around legendary cigars.
A unique event in Montauban
On Wednesday, October 15, cigar lovers are invited to Montauban for an extraordinary evening.
In collaboration with Civette Le Lalande, Cigare et Compagnie is delighted to offer a tasting of an exceptional cigar: the Arturo Fuente Opus X “The Lost City”.

The story of a legendary cigar: Arturo Fuente Opus X The Lost City
Born from a singular project, The Lost City is far more than a cigar—it is a work of art. Its story began in 2004, when director Andy Garcia filmed his movie The Lost City in the Dominican Republic. For certain scenes, he needed lush green tobacco fields — but the season wasn’t right for growing. Carlos Fuente Jr., an emblematic figure of the Arturo Fuente house, decided to plant tobacco out of season for the needs of the shoot.
This tobacco, grown under unusual conditions, gave rise to a very limited series of cigars: the Opus X The Lost City. Aged for five years before its release, this cigar offers exceptional aromatic richness: woody and peppery notes, a silky texture, a perfect balance between power and elegance.
Every tasting is a moment of pure emotion, reserved for true connoisseurs.
The quest for excellence
At Cigare et Compagnie, we care deeply about offering our guests far more than a simple tasting. Every evening is designed as a complete experience, blending history, discovery and sensory pleasure.
Our commitment: to track down rare, sometimes impossible-to-find cigars, and share them with the enthusiasts who trust us.
These exceptional evenings are also an opportunity to talk, learn and savor together in a warm, elegant and convivial atmosphere.
The Cigare et Compagnie experience
Every event is guided by a cigar sommelier, a true sensory guide, who presents the brand, the origin of the tobaccos, the manufacturing steps and the subtleties of tasting: cutting, the cold draw, lighting and the evolution of flavor.
Participants are invited to fully live the moment, to experience the depth of the aromas and to share their impressions with fellow enthusiasts.

A passion to be shared
Cigare et Compagnie’s exceptional evenings are not just tastings: they are moments where enthusiasts meet, united by a shared taste for refinement and authenticity.
On October 15, in Montauban, this evening promises to be a rare moment, a tribute to the art of the cigar and to those who keep it alive.
