On October 22, Cigare & Compagnie brought its cigars to Colomiers, in the superb private room at Le Carré Vert, for an exceptional tasting evening.
Around thirty guests answered the call for this unique event, organized in partnership with Scandinavian Tobacco Group and the tobacconist La Blague à Tabac in Toulouse.
The perfect setting for an evening of sharing
The private room at Le Carré Vert, with its central bar and warm atmosphere, offered the perfect setting for an evening devoted to pleasure and conviviality.
The restaurant’s team, led by Thierry, had prepared a special cocktail for the occasion, tasty and original, that won over more than one enthusiast even before the first cigar was lit.
After a word of welcome and the usual thanks, the evening could begin.
Cigare & Compagnie wanted to warmly thank:
- Anne-Sophie, representative of Scandinavian Tobacco Group, for her presence and guidance throughout the evening,
- Olivier, the passionate ambassador of the tobacconist La Blague à Tabac in Toulouse, a loyal partner despite his absence that evening,
- and of course Thierry and the whole team at Le Carré Vert, for their outstanding hospitality and attention to detail.

First tasting: Aganorsa Leaf Rare Leaf Reserve – Lonsdale
It was time to get down to business.
The first cigar of the evening: the Rare Leaf Reserve by Aganorsa Leaf, in an elegant Lonsdale format.
An iconic brand of Nicaraguan terroir
Based in Nicaragua, the Aganorsa Leaf house grows its own tobaccos on the fertile lands of Estelí and Jalapa, in the purest Cuban spirit.
Their ambition? To express, through every cigar, the strength of the terroir and the finesse of traditional craftsmanship.

A tasting full of balance and elegance
The Rare Leaf Reserve turned out to be a true revelation for many of the guests.
Beneath its Corojo 99 wrapper lies a 100% Nicaraguan heart, powerful yet remarkably smooth.
From the first light, the opening puffs revealed a velvety texture, with aromas of fine wood, toasted nuts and honey.
As it progressed, the cigar rounded out with spicy, floral notes, while maintaining excellent structure on the palate.
A puro of beautiful aromatic complexity, both refined and expressive — unanimously praised by the guests.
A convivial and flavorful dinner
Between two wisps of smoke, Le Carré Vert’s table delighted every palate:
an array of delicate, flavorful starters, followed by a perfectly grilled meat platter, before a duo of indulgent desserts.
The pairings between dishes, wines and cigars were harmonious, and the atmosphere was one of warm, easy relaxation.

Second tasting: CAO Amazon Basin – Toro
To close the evening, it was time for a cigar with real character: the CAO Amazon Basin in Toro format.
A bold, exploratory house
Born in the United States, the CAO brand is known for its spirit of innovation and its curiosity for different terroirs.
Always in search of new experiences, it offers blends sourced from around the world, using rare and often unexpected tobaccos.
The raw charm of Bragança tobacco
The CAO Amazon Basin holds a treasure: the Bragança tobacco, hand-grown deep in the Amazon rainforestusing age-old methods.
Fermented in barrels, this tobacco develops deep, almost wild aromas.
From the first puffs, guests were won over by its earthy, exotic profile, blending notes of cocoa, roasted coffee, dark fruit and mild pepper.
A dense, enveloping smoke, offering an intense and original sensory experience, the perfect way to end the evening on a note of adventure.

A successful first evening at Le Carré Vert
This first evening at Le Carré Vert will remain a highlight for Cigare & Compagnie.
The atmosphere, the quality of the cigars, the conviviality and the flawless hospitality won over every guest.
