An Evening Reinvented, Full of Warmth
Originally planned in the city center, the Le Bal des Volutes evening on Tuesday, April 7 ultimately found a home at the restaurant Il Fiorentino in Montauban. A last-minute change that, far from disrupting the event, gave it an even more intimate and warm dimension.
We of course hope to soon return to the unique setting of 1706 – La Manufacture Royale, but this edition at Il Fiorentino will undoubtedly remain a moment apart.
From the very first moments, Reda, our host, set the tone by suggesting we make the most of the terrace. And what a wonderful idea… The gentle warmth of the first sunny days gave us an almost summery atmosphere, perfect for fully enjoying the evening.
Warm air, clinking glasses, wisps of smoke rising…
All the ingredients were in place for a suspended moment in time.

A Finely Tuned Start with the No Name
The evening began with the discovery of an intriguing, distinctive cigar: the No Name in robusto.
Behind this unusual name lies a deliberate intention: to let the cigar express itself without a label, without influence, simply for what it is. And the result delivers.
From the first puffs, guests were won over by a smooth, delicate and perfectly balanced profile, with subtly woody and creamy notes. An accessible, elegant cigar that paired wonderfully with the arrival of the first courses.
Faces quickly lit up. The pleasure of gathering, sharing and savoring… simply that.
The tone was set: we were going to feel good… very good.
Stepping It Up with the Domaine Rouge
Then Florian, ambassador for the house Cavalier Genève, took us even further with a tasting of the Domaine Rouge in toro.
And here… a whole different dimension.
This instantly recognizable cigar offers a far deeper and more structured experience. On the palate, it reveals rich aromas of fine wood, leather and sweet spices, along with slightly sweet undertones and a lovely roundness.
The smoke is dense, silky, enveloping…
Every puff invites you to slow down, savor and fully enjoy the moment.
Meanwhile, the table kept filling up: charcuterie boards, cheeses, pizzas, fried delicacies… followed by meat and fish to round out this generous feast.
The carefully selected Italian wines paired beautifully with this building momentum.
The sun was slowly setting…
and there we were, fully present, living this rare moment.

An Unforgettable Moment of Sharing
The evening carried on in a soft, elegant atmosphere, carried along by delicate desserts that subtly accompanied the last wisps of the Domaine Rouge.
This Bal des Volutes was far more than just a cigar evening.
A moment of sharing, of meeting people, of conversation… a true moment of hedonism.
Cigare et Compagnie once again confirms its commitment to surrounding itself with the best in order to offer unique experiences.
A huge thank you to Reda and the whole team at Il Fiorentino for their hospitality, generosity and the remarkable quality of their food.
